Celebrating Black History 365

Part of being Mighty Kind is finding our kindred spirits within the world. We acknowledge, welcome, and stand with our friends and family within the Black community, not only during Black History Month, but 365 days out of the year. We encourage you to stand in solidarity with us as we celebrate Black History 365 in our communities and beyond.

We want to thank visual artist, illustrator, Mighty Kind collaborator, and purveyor of dopeness, Cbabi Bayoc, for providing us with this graphic.

Today, we’re shining a bright spotlight on him and fellow Mighty Kind collaborator B-Phlat by showcasing their bold, brilliant, and boundary-pushing work and our iconic collaborations with them.

Their creativity, energy, and influence go way beyond our collaborations—their work is all about resilience, self-expression, and community, and we couldn’t be prouder to team up with them.

Meet Cbabi Bayoc – Art with Soul & Swagger

Cbabi Bayoc (pronounced Kuh-bob-bi) is a St. Louis-based artist who brings the funk, the flair, and the feels. His signature style is bold colors, fluid lines, and powerful stories celebrating Black culture, music, and family. The name CBABI stands for Creative Black Artist Battling Ignorance, a whole vibe in itself. Later, he changed his surname to BAYOC (Blessed African Youth Of Creativity) to reflect his artistic and cultural mission.

Our latest Artist Series collab with Cbabi features our 5MG Watermelon THC seltzer wrapped in a stunning limited-edition label featuring Cbabi’s Watermelon Was Currency mural located in Downtown St. Louis and painted on the Graffiti Wall during Paint Louis. Cbabi’s artwork is packed with history, cultural pride, and a lot of soul. In his own words:

“Bold colors collide in a dynamic composition, where rich textures and layered symbols intertwine. Figures embody resilience and cultural significance, juxtaposed with vibrant patterns that narrate a story of liberation. Phrases like ‘Be Mighty Kind’ echo a powerful message amidst playful elements, inviting contemplation.”

Not into THC? No worries—we also teamed up with Cbabi for the Cheerz & Cbabi collection, featuring four non-infused seltzers with labels that celebrate hip-hop, creativity, and self-expression.

The commemorative labels on these one-of-a-kind cans feature images of birds as a visual reminder that being kind always serves us well, pink hair to celebrate self-expression, frames to represent how hip hop has influenced every culture in some way, and Bayoc’s caricature to represent the ability to take a deep dive into self-examination because art belongs everywhere, even in your favorite drinks.

Meet B-Phlat – Comedy, Creativity & DIY Magic

B-Phlat is a comedy queen, DIY wizard, and all-around force of nature. Born in St. Louis and based in Philly, she’s got jokes for days and a talent for turning everyday stuff into pure gold. You’ve seen her everywhere—from the Sherri Shepherd Show to Kevin Hart’s Celebrity Game Face, Comedy Central’s This Is Not Happening, and so much more. But she doesn’t stop at stand-up. She’s also the genius behind Tight’N Up Tuesdaze, a hilarious DIY podcast under the NAACP Image Award-winning Two Funny Mamas brand, created by Sherri Shepherd & Kym Whitley.

We joined forces with B-Phlat for the Cheerz BCasso collection, featuring two non-infused seltzers, Crème de la Crème and Orange Jasmine. The label art? Inspired by her ride-or-die fanbase, the BCassos, a creative squad that follows her DIY magic and comedy gold.

The BCassos are a national, visionary group of creatives who draw their inspiration from B-Phlat’s weekly podcast, Tight’N Up Tuesdaze. Their primary devotion lies in strengthening community ties through the cerebral perks of DIY and repurposed art. This collab isn’t just about drinks; it’s about creativity, connection, and good vibes.
